    is there a way to deny the lease of ip to computer who are not connected/ authenticated on the domain...

    my problem sometime is some users bring their laptop and plug it on the network. they are the common source of viruses

    Not that i'm aware of using the DHCP console.

    I think you can do it using the MAC addresses of the machines on a switch.

    Ohh just another you could if you wanted to create a reservation for each machine on the LAN but that then becomes an administrative nightmare.

      i will try the reservation option adding the mac address just to contain maybe the prob for now. we are using unmanaged switches

        You can also do it with the DHCP Server Callout DLL as explained in this article in the Petri site: http://www.petri.com/filter-mac-addr...allout-dll.htm
