  • Server 2003 Workgroup - netapi32.dll crashes

I needed to edit this post since I've found some more information (sorry for the title it is misleading now - servers are in a domain)

I have few Windows 2003 servers - Domain
few days ago we started seen crashes of netapi32.dll

There is a domain user logged on all the time - everything seems to be working but, when you log in to the domain on the server with administrator you get a crash...

    here are the events:
Application Log : Faulting application svchost.exe, version 5.2.3790.3959, faulting module netapi32.dll, version 5.2.3790.3959, fault address 0x000000000001e626.

System Log : The Application Experience Lookup Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

    nothing else in the events....

The following services also are stop

    Application Experience Lookup Service (AeLookupSvc)
    Automatic Updates (Wuauserv)
    Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)
    Computer Browser (Browser)
    Logical Disk Manager (Dmserver)
    Network Connections (Netman)
    Secondary Logon (Seclogon)
    Server (Lanmanserver)
    System Event Notification (SENS)
    Wireless Configuration (WZCSVC)
    Workstation (Lanmanworkstation)

looked around the web and found some issues with memory over 4 giga and some other patches - but the thing is that everything was working for months before that...

also looked for Viruses or Trojans (looked for conflicker) ... nothing indicates that either...
