  • Lost folders on mapped drive

    Overview:
Head office in Sydney, branches in Brisbane and Melbourne.
Sydney has 2 DCs both GCs, one DNS and one DHCP and DFSR.
Brisbane and Melbourne have notebook users.
Each office has 1 DC (GC) running DNS, DHCP and DFSR.
    Problem:
Just since this week one of the notebooks in Melbourne has lost all but one folder on the mapped drive back to Sydney and if they map to the local DFS they have lost all but two folders. (All other users have correct 15 folders)
Connected an old win2K PC, logged on as the user and all folders present.
    Testing:
I have not had too much time for testing as user has been out of office, But what I did notice is if I go to a command prompt and do dir mapped drive it comes up as "OFFLINE". yet on the Win2K PC it comes up with the correct vol label.
Also it is logging onto the domain the logonserver is one of the Sydney servers.
