  • How to backup windows server 2000 print server?

I am just after some advice, in the event of a print server crashing what method of backup / restore do people use for the quickest and smoothest recovery?

If you have the space (and license or course) use Ghost, print servers don't change appart from adding additional printers etc.

Are printer setups included in the System State backup ? I would presume they are.
    * Shamelessly mentioning "Don't forget to add reputation!"

in addition to ghost there are two software that can image the server online.
      1. acronis true image server 8.0 http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/products/ATIESWin/
      2. symantec live state http://sea.symantec.com/content/prod...m?productid=23

the two software can backup the whole server and also the changes that occurred from the last backup.

      good luck

yes - printers are included in the systemstate backup.

whenever i install a new printer i do a systemstate backup first and copy that to another server.
        have been burned before

        you can also use printmig.exe
