  • unable to connect ot shares on a server 2003 R2

    Hi all,

I am not sure as to what happened for yesterday to today but this morning I am unable to connect via the scripts to the share on our server 2003 R2 - this is a member server that we use as a terminal server for 5 staff working from home and I have one share folder that hold files. users getting access by the logon scripts.

When I ping the server I can see it but when I try to map a network drive I receive the message
" \\tserver is no accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. ontact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer"

I am the administrator and I didn't do any changes to the permissions.

I have two other servers the DC is a server 2000 SP4

I forgot to mention that I can access using terminal services

    Thanks you

Did someone else change the permissions (you said in your first post that you hadn't changed them)?

Have the TS Licences expired (from the 90 day temp licences when you setup Terminal Server)? You didn't mention how long TS has been in operation.

Can you get access and run script when connecting as the Administrator?

try conecting using an IP and FQDN.
          \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
          \\server.domain.com\

\\server - is using NetBios resolving while the other uses DNS or None at all (IP case).
