  • How to Restrict users to a single logon to the domain

    Sirs,

How do I restrict users in a domain, so they can logon to the domain, but only on one workstation at a time, so they can not logon at another whilst already logged on?
(a domain user cannot logon to another workstation if he is still logged on to another one)

I hope im clear with my question.. Thanks..

As far as I know, there is no built-in solution available.

You might be able to use creative logon / logoff scripts to limit concurrent logons though. There is an article available at Technet about this kind of solution: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/m.../cc160794.aspx

What excactly is the problem you are trying to solve? Are your users sharing their accounts and you want to prevent this? For a social problem, no technology provides an answer. If account promiscuity is a problem, declare an AUP and audit concurrent logons. And find out why the users are sharing accounts, maybe there is a problem in the environment they want to run around.

You could give Limit logon a try:
