  • copy users from one win2k server to another

    Hi there,
I have a win2k sp4 server with a lot of users (no active directory)
and i want to install a new one with different settings but i want to copy the existing user/password information from server A to server B

is there any resource kit or freeware tool to do this?

You can copy the users from the old comp to the new one by using the NET USER command to export them to a file, then the same command in order to build them. It won't be as easy as clicking your mouse, but it can be done.

You could also look for 3rd party tools such as HEYENA, DAMWARE and others.

Perhaps other readers have better suggestions.
