  • SNMP services Stops automatically - Windows 2003 server R2 SP2, HP DL385 G2

SNMP service crashes ( automatically stops) .
Following are the troubleshooting steps that we have followed and nothing has worked out.

    1) Stopped and re-started the snmp services.
    2) Re-booted the server.
    3) Tried removing the "Rack information" and "Performance Monitor" from the active agents of the system management homepage.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

IMHO, SNMP has always been a little dodgy in Windows (going back to NT 4 days). Try uninstalling and reinstalling SNMP and if that doesn't work then set the service options to restart after a crash.

Probably worth updating the HP tools as well. Which version are you on?
