    Hiya All and Happy Friday

    It seems a while ago, the company I am at now, had renamed their DC, and not completely.

    Win2K3 Active Directory Domain with this DC as the Single DC

    I was going through the process of getting a second DC in place, and this is when I found out about the name change (repl errors).

    I cannot figure out how in the world to get all instances of the old DC name removed so only the current name shows. The server has been running for about a year with this config from what I can gather.

    Any help would be oh so much appreciated

      I've gone through all of that.

      I did find something though in the last couple minutes - Going through the debug logs (C:\Windows\Debug\) within the NetSetup.LOG file, the da*& Server has been renamed three times, current being the fourth name the server's had since it's been a DC.

      Now, looking at the log file, I found the below info:

        RESOLVED: DC Rename Fubar

        If anyone cares...Issue resolved.
        Da%$ Server had a hosts file and that's where it was finding the original server name
