  • IPC$ Password?

Probably a silly question, and I'm sure I should know the answer, but how do I enter a password for \\Computername\IPC$ ?

The administrator one doesnt work and no other ideas.

Problem is when trying to access 2K3 server from an old Win98 client.

    thanks in advance

Create a logon for the Windows 98 system ?.pwl

    Example:

    User: Win98user
    pass: upgrade

Now create that user/pass on your Windows 2003 Beast. Should see results just after you log on.

This of course applies to non Domain related Win2k3 servers...

If it is a domain then setup the computer to Log onto NT Domain in the network neighborhood properties.
