  • Disabling an autorun program

I have a small inconvenience that I would like to remove from my terminal server. (2k3) I have some applications that automatically start whenever a user logs in and I would like to disable these from starting. I know that I could do it user by user, but is there an easier way? We're currently setup as a workgroup, so I don't think I can use a group policy.

Depending on how the program starts. If its in the Startup menu then you can simply remove it. Other typical startups are via the registry. You could create a script to remove the registry key.

That was the first place I thought to look, along with MSCONFIG. I'll do some research on scripting then. Thanks!
