    Everyone,

    How do I know if somebody change the ip address setting from static to dhcp? is there a log to keep track and monitor the ip address been changed? Any idea?

    Yeap.
    Start -> Run -> Eventvwr -> System. Check for events from Source=DHCP.
    The other way around I am not sure something is written in the Event logs...

      there anit much source DHCP entries in event log after filtering, but it all unrelated information.. beside checking out the event log, is there a method which we can audit the ip address to been change in future? any third party tool or script will do the monitoring?

        I don't know any...
        If the IP address was changed from static to DHCP, an event will be written in the Event log.
        What else do you need?
