  • off line problem & Folders Deisapear from Server

    Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone here has dealt with Windows 2003/XP networking.

We have a 2003 file server and Ex2003 mail server setup with 43 Win XP clients.

From time to time we get this message:

"You are working offline on 'server' and may continue working normally. Changes to any offline files will be copied back to 'server' when you synchronize."

Oddly enough we can access the server via the network just fine (although from time to time some folders will just pretend not to be there and won't reappear until you reboot) despite this message. Upon shutdown it initiates the synchronization process, copying everything (or so it would seem).

Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

    Many thanks!

It's probably the Slow Link Speed detection mechanism that is causing the issue. Google for that and you should come up with some resolution.
