  • Home directory not in command prompt

    Hello,

I have set up a home directory on a server and set it up the AD profile. The drive does map okay, I see it in explorer fine. But going to command prompt does not display the home drive. The environment variables seem okay (homepath, homedrive, etc).

Why isn't the cmd showing home drive?

Maybe its overridden by the registry, check the following locations for a "Autorun" value. Delete it if its there.

    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor

    and

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor

If you're launching cmd via a shortcut you can change the "Start in:" field to %homepath%%homedir%

      No, no autorun there.

Its not going to show where the file location is, it you will only see the drive letter.
