  • SQL Server 2000 and Veritas

    Hi,

Problem: How do I restore SQL databases?????

I am trying to recover my company's databases held within MS SQL Server 2000.

    Operating System: Windows 2000 SP4
    Backup Software: Veritas BackupExec 9.1

I have tried to recover the master database first, this states its successful, but then the msqlserver service does not start. So I'm unable to restore the other databases... as a result I have to rebuild the master database before the services will start again.

I have tried recovering the user databases first then the msdb and model database and finally the master this didn't work either.....

What order should I be carrying this out in???? Help

I have looked around on the web.... but am not having much joy

      Thanks for the posting

I have restored the master database using the above link, but my sql server service will not start now stating there is an internal windows error... any ideas?

No information is published with the app and system event logs
