  • Can you script your NIC bindings ?

Is there a way using VBscript, WMI etc to bind your NICs the way you prefer in 2003/XP ? I have looked at netsh syntax to no avail. I have also looked at this KB http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?id=299540
It explains about the 'Automatic metric' but does not tell how you can modify the settings for multiple computers thru Group policy.

    Your insight is appreciated.

You just want to change the metric? You could always use ROUTE ADD to add a new route with a custom metric.

No, ultimately I want to be able to have one NIC take precedence over the other. I want to be able to automate the process by the means of GP, WMI, or NETSH. Along the sidelines I read about the metric that is there for manual applying weight to do just that.

What are my options to implement that in my whole environment ?

      Thanks for the reponse.
