  • Remote Desktop User Group

    Greetings,
i have one PDC(Primary Domain Controller) Server which is running on Windows 2000 Setver Std. and another Windows 2003 Server Std is also run as just a domain controller.

i setup the TS(terminal Services-Application Mode) at Windows Server 2003 yesterday but it's not allow the users to access with the message prompted says "the user must be assigned under remote desktop user group".

Unfortunately, when i browse through the AD(Active Directory) Users and Computers. i cannot fine the Remote Desktop User Group. most probably i run the PDC in Windows 2000 Server Std, however the Remote Desktop User Group is in Windows Server 2003 Std.

Could anyone of you enlighten me on how to solve the problem above?

    Regards,
    Andrew

    Re: Remote Desktop User Group

You should never allow users to connect into DCs through TS.

If you really want to, edit the Default domain controller policy (under user rights assignments).
