  • Can't scan from MFP to server share

We have a server called DAN-SRVLN running W2K3 SP2 which has a share called "Scanned". We also have five Kyocera FS-1118MFP Multi Function printers.

The printers could all scan to the shared folder on the server up until a few weeks ago. We are not sure what changes have been made to the network, if any, at that time.

To get around the issue, we setup the same share but on another server in another site. The MFP now scan OK to the new share but we need to set them to scan back to the original server, DAN-SRVLN.

I've logged on as the account the MFPs are using, "svc_Kyocera", on my notebook and I can access and write to the share on DAN-SRVLN. I've used a domain admin account in the MFP's setup and that does not work either. All the MFP is telling us is that there was a "Send Error 1102"

I've enabled auditing on the DAN-SRVLN\Scanned share and here's what I get:

I can telnet to port 139 & 445 on DAN-SRVLN from my workstation. I can't figger out why the MFPs can no longer scan to that server. I have even tried a different folder on the same server with no luck.

I've defaulted the security for Sharing to "Everyone" has Change & Read and for Security Users have Modify permissions.

Can anyone suggest how I can fix this issue? Is there a utility which will emulate the MFP by logging onto the share and trying to send a file to it? I need to know WHY the MFP can not scan to this folder. Thanks.
