  • Can 2003 or 2008 servers be a member of AD 2000

    A company uses AD2000.
    Don't want to migrate to 2003 for now.

    They need to run the application 2003 server compatible.

    The question:

    Can 2003 or 2008 servers be a member of AD 2000.
    If yes are there known issues where adding to AD?

    Yes you can add 2003/2008 as a member without any problems.
    No you can't add them as A DC without taking the necessary steps.

            Yes it's possible but as long as your domain (and forest) functionality isn't set to Windows 2003
