    Insert XP CD
    Remove all partitions
    format drive
    Install XP?

Otherwise you need to give some more info.

Re: how to install windows xp after 2003 server installation

The way I've setup multi boot windows boxes was always to install the oldest OS first then the next one and the next and so on, for each version I setup its own partition, that way if ones dies and you need to reinstall it you can do it without losing the other operating systems.

You could create a new primary partiton as look as long as its still a basic disk and not dymanic on your 2003 box then boot of you xp cd and install it on the new partiton however I'm sure this would cause problems with the 2003 boot.ini.

The easiest thing to do would be to go to www.vmware.com download the free vmserver and install xp on it that way you dont have to worry about breaking your 2003 box.

        Hope this helps.

          Google "Dualboot 2003 XP"

Microsoft has Virtual PC as well that works for me.

          http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en.

I think that it makes it a lot easier to if you install in oldest first order, and also install to seperate partitions can be same physical drive just different partions.

          XP on C: drive
          2003 on D: drive

If it all works out your boot.ini should config it's self if it doesn't you will need to config the boot.ini to show both operating systems.

            Dear,

Is the problem that you install windows xp after wk3, then you cant boot WK3?. You can solve this problem through copy "ntldr" from WK3 cd to system partition (the partition where the system boots).put the wk3 cd in cd rom and serach for ntldr then copy it. the xp ntldr is older than wk3 ntldr so it cant support and can't boot wk3. pls check and reply
