  • Old domain controller

    Hi,

I have inherited a customer with two Windows 2000 servers installed, both are domain controllers. I was check AD sites and services and was surprised to find 3 servers listed under the Site/Default-First-Site-Name folder. Two of the servers are the existing servers whilst the third is a mystery - it doesn't exist physically. It looks like it may have been an exchange server at one time as it has exchange settings under the server object as well as NTDS Settings. Exchange is running on one of the other servers and it doesn't have this entry. Given that I know it doesn't exist can I safely delete it from here or do I have to delete it from AD Users and Computers?

I hope I am making sense

    thanks
