  • Restart Win2K3 server by first shutting down Notes

The Notes guys here jump up & down whenever I tell them I am rebooting a server using the server's scheduler. They want me to shutdown Notes first as it is the apparent way to close Notes cleanly.

Is there an automatic way to cleanly shutdown Notes?

    Notes being Lotus Notes?

I've not used Lotus Notes myself. But surly it just runs as a Service? Batch file the shutdown?

    Code:
net use stop "Lotus Notes Service"
    shutdown -r -t 0

Thanks WullieB1, I'm going to create a batch file as you specified with the line :

NET STOP "Lotus Domino Server (LotusDominoData)"

        to stop notes.
