  • NT tells him that he doesnít have the privileges

Hey Folks, Iím an off-site consultant/network Admin. Of a five user, win2000 small biz server. The companyís owner wants to make some changes on his desktop computer (mail rules); however his OS, NT tells him that he doesnít have the privileges to do this. On the server he has Admin rights, I asked him to log-on as Admin locally but he said he didnít have a password for that. Any ideas? Thanks

Maybe his user is not in admin group in his local machine, if he has server admin user, log on to his machine using that account and reset a local admin password. If he doesn't have it check this article http://www.petri.com/forgot_administrator_password.htm

This is the 3rd location for the same request. Please do NOT post the same question in different locations. It is confusing and hard to follow when members reply to the same question in different locations.
