Ok, I'm getting ready to setup auditing on a file server. I want to audit object access. Here's my plan...

Modify the "Local Security Settings" group policy. Under Audit Policy I must set "Audit Object Access" to Sucess.

Then I must go to the properties of the folder/share and add the group I want to audit on the Advanced section of the security tab.

Is there anything I am missing?

Nope. Sounds like you've got it covered (other than auditing for failures to see who is trying to access files they shouldn't).

I'll add that as well. Thanks for the help.
