  • DNS Event ID 6702

Good afternoon. I have a DC on Windows 2003 server.

according to M$ here is the link

So I decided to check what was going on, so went to the DNS on the DC.

    I then found the following

    DC Host (A) -
    DC Host (A) -

    (same as parent folder) -
    (same as parent folder) -

The is the main IP for the DC server, I delete the other two "forward lookup zones" and after 5min they recreate themselves.

Anyone had an issue like this?
Please let me know, thank you.

I checked everything on the server that could take an IP address, ie. 2nd Network Card, extra IPs on the 1st Network card. etc.
The 2nd network I have it with no IPs for now until i can resolve this issue.

Can you give a little more detail on how your dns infrastructure is configured? Are you using Active Directory Integrated zones?

      Re: DNS Event ID 6702

Does the server have any "out of band" management cards such as a DRAC from Dell or anything like it? Are there any integrated network cards that support PXE?

Check the interface tab within DNS.
