  • Winlogon service rebooting server unexpectedly - Urgent

    HI Friends,

I am facing the following issue in one of my domain controller:

EventID: 0x80000432 (1074) - The process winlogon.exe has initiated the restart
of computer Servername on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following
reason: No title for this reason could be found
    Reason Code: 0x80020002
    Shutdown Type: restart

Kindly help me to resolve this issue.

At what time does this happen? Are you running Automatic Updates on the server which might have caused the restart? Are you running WSUS in your environment that might have triggered the restart?
A wise man once said: "Assumption is the mother of all fu*k ups".

Any advice I give is to the best of my knowledge, there is no guarantee what so ever that it will actually work in your particular scenario. I will not accept any responsibility for unexpected consequences, after all - you are taking advice from a complete stranger over the internet. =)

If I'm not mistaken it was the Sasser worm that caused this.
