  • Home folder is not accessible

    Dears,
I created a home profile U: for each domain user and it points to a file server.
Suddenly now some users get an access denied while trying to enter the U: drive, mutliple log off/on solve the problem but i want to know why.
Taking into consideration that other mapped drives created by group policy to the same server are accessible.
    I have a windows 2003 server R2 SP2 with XP SP2 as clients.
    Regards,

    Hi,

on home folders user getting access denied error...

it seems for some reson your security lost the ACL on folder or volume.

check on the home folders for rights/access...

        Hi,

I think you are using some script to create home folder..

        1) In first logon that script is able to create folder but not able to sync/replicate permision on folder.

        2) once users logout from the domain then permisions are geeting place on folder

        3) since permisions are inplace users are able to get access on the folder.

        regards
