  • IIS 6.0 and Named Virtual Hosts

Is it possible with IIS 6.0 to configure Named Virtual Hosts (like you can with Apache) on 1 IP address and port 80? For example, http://xxx.domain.com, and http://yyy.domain.com. These would be external. Or if someone knows of a web server, other than Apache, that can do this and use Integrated Windows Authentication? Apache for windows is very easy to configure, but I have not found a way to make it use IWA without paying for something.

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

Have you looked at using Host Headers? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/190008
I know is says IIS 5 but it works on IIS 6 as well.

    Some other reading. http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=e...e+Search&meta=

Host Headers is definitely the way to go, and it works on IIS6 just as it does on IIS5. We use this set up on our web server.
