I am having huge NIC issues

I have 2 nics installed on a DC at a remote site.

    Config:

    nic1
    172.27.0.3

    nic2
    10.10.27.4

When I enble nic2 I loose all connectivity to my server.

    I am running R2

I am trying to set up a "public" network that is total seprate from our internal network.

We have a WLAN controllers that have 2 WLANs set up one on the nic1 ip scheme and the other on nic2 ip scheme...

I hope this all make sense.......

Any help would be greatly appriciated

      Re: NIC issues

Joe Thanks for the quick reply

      OK the Gateways are

      nic1
      172.27.0.1

      nic2
      10.10.27.1

Would this cause the connection from "inside" to go down?

      Thanks

      Mike

        Re: NIC issues

Possibly, get rid of one and then the other gateway and see if it resolves the issue.

Is there a router anywhere on VLAN4?

              Re: NIC issues

              Yes there is.....

Ok so i took out the gateway on nic2 and was able to bring it up....

Now I need to figure out how to dish out IP for the 10.10 network

                Re: NIC issues

So the problem is resolved but now you need to dole out ip addresses (DHCP) to the clients on the 10.10.x.x subnet and give them internet access? I think you will need to set up the clients to use the NIC2 ip address as their gateway and set up routing between NIC1 and NIC2.
