How you can check SID for Windows Server 2003? Is there any registry entry that we can go for or any database on a domain that we can see server names and their respective SIDs?
    Thanks

    Re: Check SID

You can query for objectSid attribute of the computer's account using something like dsquery.exe or similar:

    Code:
    C:\>dsquery * -filter "&(objectcategory=computer)(samaccountname=servername$)" -attr objectsid
      objectsid

Is there any other way to check its SID being logged on locally to the server?

        Here u go.......

        http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sys...es/NewSid.mspx

This "NewSID" utility is used to change the SID of any computer. Once you will run this it will show you the current SID and will provide you the option to change SID.

As you do not have to change SID, just check the current SID and quit the wizard.
