  • Remote Desktop Connection

    Hi all

Scenario: Connecting to Server 2003 in Console mode I can connect directly to the console using RDP, logging off the user connected directly to the console.
Advantage: I can see "console-messages" ie messages from event-logger, and there´s only one administrator at a time .

In a batch-script the only thing to do is to add /console.

Does anyone know how to set up a RDP connection in console-mode in batch-script with a defined user??
I want to connect to different servers with different usernames in console-mode, ie server1 connecting user1, server2 connecting user2.

    In the following example:
    "C:\Program Files\Remote
    Desktop\mstsc.exe" /vxx.yyy.zzz.xxx /f /console
I get the previous user to show up in username (from the last session connecting to another server).

Does anyone know how to get rid of previous user and/or how to define a user in batch-mode??

    Regards from Denmark

It's in the registry. Do a search for one of the values and you'll find the correct path.

BTW, there is also the DEFAULT.RDP file in MY DOCUMENTS, but the registry pruning will be best.
