  • Terminal server force disconect

    Server 2003 terminal server

In group policy there is an ability to "set time limit for disconnected sessions" (Terminal server)
The shortest time available is 1 minute

I would prefer to have the server disconect/reset upon client exit.

Question- Via GP/Reg/Script is there a way to force the disconect sooner than 1 minute?

    Thanks in advance

No. Not with default tools, there may be 3rd party tools that do something faster than 1 min, but with the tools from MS 1 min is as low as it goes.
There are keys in the registry that control timeout but the value if entered as a decimal rounds to the nearest whole number. So if you enter .5 it becomes 1 etc.

This link gives a decent description of what each key does.
