  • how to configure DNS to update clients dns automatically

i have windows 2000 server and windows xp computers. i have put dns in every computer equal wiht servers ip (server runs dns server). everything works fine.

but using laptop cause problems. When i put manually same dns, then internet wount work in other places, home etc. when i dont set dns in laptops, then in main office LAN wount work but internet is working.

I guess i have to configure DNS somehow so it updates clients dns's itself and I don't have to set it manually in every computer

How do i do this? or is there any better solution?

here is the link i used to help to set up dns

Set the primary DNS to the one you use on your LAN and the secondary DNS to the one they use at home or elsewhere.

sorry, but i can't follow you. why not using just one provider, and setting up his DUN's

or, why not you dial you're users to you're network and let then from there access the internet?
