  • Help With .CAB and .ZIP

I recently installed winzip and winrar to open some files that i had downloaded from the internet but when i installed it i seemed to have changed the association to all the type of compressed folders on my computer such as .ZIP and .CAB. so I tryied to change the file that opens the .CAB, the file is Cabinet File Viewer, but then it says that it is not a valid win32 application. So i would like to know if there is a way to fix this. I think that i migth have to go into the registry to fix it but i dont't know where to start. Thanks for your help in advance.

Try to unsinstall that program and re-install Winzip and Winrar. See if that helps. If not, you'll need to drill down each file association and change it back to whatever you want it to be.
