4 hours and 12 minutes and no authoritative reply. Damn, we've fallen well below the site SLA. There goes the bonus this month!

Ahmed, please remember we have real lives too, and that sometimes the problem is not straightforward. Do you get any other errors, and is there anything in the event logs?

What shows up for computer name/domain membership?

            Hi,
Might I ask, have you completed this step in the setup?

Ammm the title says you are using or are looking for an answer file?
You are going for a Custom install/setup?
I don't know anything about (you or your) computers.

Since you have done the install, how much administrative effort would it take to manually rename the server and join it to the domain?

                    OK
let's talk about what I want.
I'm a manager at one company but I'll manage another company from my place. and there isn't anybody to assist me there.
so I want to use ( RIS ) to Install ( xp ) and put this new machine in (OU ) to install programs like (microsoft office) .
and control of this machine remotely via ( vpn connection )
So if any user have a problem in his computer .so he will just put his username and password and then every thing will be done.

Maybe an obvious one but has the account the user uses rights to join a computer to a domain?

From your original post you were installing Server 2003 via RIS. This makes it much clearer

First I try now with administrator account
Second you can delegate permission to all users to join to domain
