  • Win 2000 upgrade from Win 98 - don't have win 98 media

Hope this is an appropirate forum to post in.

I'm an XP guy through and through. Except, that I need to run an old flatbed scanner that is only supported up through windows 2000.

Now, I dug through my old media and only have the Windows 2000 upgrade. I have a Cert of Authenticity for a previous install of Win98, but that was and OEM hard drive install. I never had the original media. That hard drive is long gone (wiped away).

Is there a way to install Win 2K without the Win 98 media? I do have the license for windows 98, just not the media. So, I should be able to legally install Windows 2000 upgrade.

    Any ideas?
