  • For Backing up software

    Hi,
Have you got any backing up software for windows 2003? It mean, I wanna backup without overwriting and just continue updating with new data which are saving by user.
Is that symantec Backup Exc doing same thing?

    Good luck

    Re: For Backing up software

    Hi.
I am using Veritas BackupExec 9.1 (now it's part of Symantec, and the latest version is 11d) for Windows Servers, and two HP Ultrium 460 LTO2 tape drives with a 200/400GB capacity. I have agents for Linux and Netware.
I didn't compare it to other solutions, so cannot tell you if it's better or worse. I am planning to start checking in the near future, since I'll have to upgrade my backup system soon.

I'm using also Backup Exec 9.1 with 6 Hp MSL 5000 tape libraries with different licenses for windows and Linux and never disappointed me.

I am running Backup Exec 10d backing up 6 Windows Boxes and 1 Exchange Box and I am not disappointed. Planning on migrating to 11d within the next couple of months. (More features)

        Hope this helps.
