  • Issues after upgrade from NT to w2k3

HI There , I have upgraded my network from nt4 to w2k3. and this is the steps i followed for the upgrade
    setup a bdc
    promote it to pdc .
once promoted , upgrade to w2k for ad
setup another server with w2k3 and then seize roles .
    dcpromo w2k server .and remove

w2k3 is now the main DC with all roles . have installed dhcp, dns and wins .

noticed that after the upgrade ,have lots a users (WINDOWS 9
having network problems . there is a lot of delay when acessing files and also even affected applications that is not even on the server .

have upgraded our 10mb hub to 100mb but still does not improve the performance .

there is a couple of windows xp and 2 x nt 4 pcs that does not have the problems the win 98 clients have.
can someone help?? have i missed a crucial step??

Did you disable the Win2003 requirement for SMB signing and encryption? That might be the case, as Pre-W2K machines will not be able to authenticate to the Win2003 DC, unless you disable that option and/or install DS Client on the Pre-W2K machines.
