  • DHCP Server 2003

I am using Windows server 2003 r2 service pack 2 as domain controller, dhcp & dns server. all servers and printers have static IP's and all workstations have dhcp address pool is - .229 scope
In the address leases i am getting bad_address
this is the only server with dhcp enabled have other servers but they are not dhcp servers. today i had about 50 bad addresses. also have 6 pc with reservations.
    any help...thanks

    Re: DHCP Server 2003

Bad_address appears in DHCP Scope when the same ip is already used in network

Take some steps to resolve the problem

    1. Find out total devices on ur network.
    2. decide which will have static/dynamic ip & plan ur scope accordingly.
    3. Confiure DHCP to detect IP conflict at least once before handing out ips.
