  • how to authorize dhcp server, authorize option not available

    Hi:

I have a win 2003 server with 2 ethernet cards. One for internet and the other for LAN.

I want to set up a dhcp service on it. Everything goes fine, until when I have to activate the scope. There it says that I need to authorize the server....but the authorize option is NOT AVAILABLE.

On the other hand it works fine if I work with only one ethernet card.

A solution would be much apprecaited.

    Regards,
    Neeraj

You're not an enterprise admin in the root AD domain. That's why you can't authorize it yourself. You need enterprise admin rights to do this.

        Regards,
DHCP server authorization is for DHCP servers that are in a domain.
