  • Import Downloaded Updates to WSUS

    Hello.

Today WSUS crashed for some reason and i tried to reinstall it.
After the reinstallation the msde database files got replaced with new ones.
When clicking on updates i see zero.
My WsusContent folder is about 14GB.
Is there any way to force WSUS to "discover" locally stored updates?

Unfortunately i don't have any backup of the msde database files.

    Regards.

P.S. I don't care about approvals. Just not downloading the updates again.

Re: Import Downloaded Updates to WSUS

        Thanx for your reply.

        What I actually did was:
I have configured the basic settings for synchronization and approval and started a synchronization.
I took some hours to finish, but the folderís size hasnít changed.
So I assume it was somehow updating the database and getting any missing updates.

        Regards.

You might have problems with that. WSUS will ignor the existing ones. The suggestion is to clean up the Contents folder first.
