  • Windows Server 2003 has now become Codename Whistler

The logon box for one of my servers has changed to display Codename Whistler
where it previously said Windows Server 2003.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to change it back again and what could have caused this?

Can you post a screen shot?

If it's the text in the logon box then I'm sure it can be changed via the regedit - I'm trying to find the damm key

FWIW, when the OP posted this question, I had a look around the internet and did find a few occurrances of this, unfortunately with no resolutions posted.

FWIW, I have used a legit version of Windows Server 2003 for several years and have not seen this issue.
