Preparing W2K Server for the internet

Looking for guidance in setting up internet access for a windows 2000 server. My company has allowed me one IP address. I would like to configure the following:
A public IP address and ten internal addresses through NATing to include a VPN/firewall appliance.

Learn how one determines exactly how internal IP addresses are determined. Is there a calculator for this?

Learn how to implement security features in Server 2000 and the firewall appliance to protect the server from malicious activity.

This server has no domain at the moment but soon will to include two other servers. I am looking for documentation and best practices for configuring servers for the internet.

What you need is to create a network that consists of:

1 W2K/2003 server + RRAS + NAT + 2 NICS (one with the true IP, the other in the range of scope).

1 W2K/2003 server + DC + DNS + DHCP (that will distribute the scope with the required options and all)

Client computers that can obtain their IP addresses via DHCP.

    Proper cabling, one hub/switch.

Now, what exactly was your question?
