  • RIS over subnets

    Hi all

Just put a new Windows 2003 R2 server in a router for a new subnet (192.168.10.x class c). But I cant get RIS to work. The router is the DHCP server for the new subnet and has the Scope Option 66 set as the RIS server. There is a route on the RIS server and there is inter domain connectivity (ping, SMB, TS etc all work fine).

But the machines in the new subnet don't get an IP address and then the F12 to boot message does not appear. I can see the DHCP server offering the clients IP addresses but then the machines error with Boot File Name not recieved.

    Any ideas??

    Thanks

Ok tried some things in the article but one thing i'm not sure how to do is to make changes to the IP Helper table on a Windows 2003 Router. Any ideas?
