  • deleting routes

    hello all

    i cant seem to be able to delete a persistant route off my w2k server it accepts the delete route command but when you print route the route is still there

    could i manually delete the route from the registry?

    The route delete command should work for persistant routers:

    Are you using the correct syntax?

      thanks for your reply

      as far as i can see its the correct syntax

      route delete 192.168.51.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.25

      i havn't tried inputting the metric but i never have

      ow forgot to add i even tried to edit the route but still nothing

      im stumped?

        try the following:

        route delete 192.168.51.0

        I've just tested it and it works.

            Registry location:

            HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters\PersistentRoutes.

            It seems strange that the route delete command doesn't work.

              i will back up the reg tonight and try and delete tonight when everone is logged off...just in case

              im totally confussed why the route won't dissappear?! its not even i use at the moment?!
