  • Wrong reply for ping request

    Hi all,

Does anyone know a solution for this problem, it's my first time to face something like this.

    Hint:

    10.2.90.17 is in a zone

    &

10.2.150.150 is in another zone, its real ip is 10.11.150.150 (NAT)

can you post you're network setting.
Ive seen this before when you got problems with dns.. However, i think you have somewhere an routing loop.

Can you please explain to me how is the NATing implemented?
You have 2 differnet subnets conencted to a HUB?

            Brief description will help me.

Re: Wrong reply for ping request

Sorry 4 being late but i was in a mess, i don't know exactly how the NATing process was done as we had PIX firewall and i don't know how to work with it, as i know the '2' zone suppose to deal with the '13' zone as if it was with it in the same zone.

                  AND
I tried register that server in the DNS but it failed so i tried removing and rejoining it to the domain again with making sure that TCP/IP was set well but finally it failed and now i don't know what to do.

                  Sorry again.

Re: Wrong reply for ping request

What failed? Provide some screenshots of areas where you think things may be wrong. ipconfig /all, a drawing of your network setup. Try and provide us with sufficient info about your network so the member can be as familiar with is as you are. Also, please post screenshots in JPG format.

If not sure what is needed, read the posting rules and also ask what info is required. One line answers are not going to help.

I would even suggest starting a new thread as this one is not too helpful. This one will be locked if you choose to do that.

Help us to help you. (Sounds like a line from Jerry Maguire)
