  • Internet Monitoring & Control in a Win2k DC

    Hi all,
I've got a some 20 pcs in Windows 2000 Domain Environemnt. I'm using Routing and Remote Access for Internet connection sharing. Whats the best way to monitor & control internet connection in this setup? What would you guys suggest? The problem is Internet cost is driving us crazy due to tremendous amount of data volume consumed. I need to be able to log & control that somehow.

    Its a Win2k Adv Server(the domain controller)
DNS & DHCP is being used.
Almost all the Clients are Win2K Pro.

    Thankx in advance.

There is a mountain of third party tools out there that do the job well but what you get will simply come down to your budget, in an office of about 50 here we used to use Surf Control which did a great job giving us full control and complete monitoring and reporting tools. We're now using Message labs which offer solutions your after

    Hope that helps.

At my previous role we used Surf Control as well.

I though it was pretty good
