  • NAS/SAN & ISCSI Help

    HI,

I want to setup my DS300 NAS can someone help me please?

I got 3 IBM xSeries Servers and 1 Server with 1 GB ( Intel Pro) Network card.

Can these servers connect to DS 300 using Iscsi initiator 2.03 ?

Do i need to buy the HBA ?

    DS300
Important: Do not assign the iSCSI ports to the same subnet as the management interface (except for RL model). In addition, each iSCSI port needs to be on a different subnet.

if i setup all in one subnet what will happen?

My net work got 192.168.4 X how do i setup seperate subnet?

        Re: NAS/SAN & ISCSI Help

I don't know if you've posted about this previously with more detail... BUT with that said, you might find that you'll get help if you ask an actual question related to your problem.

What kind of problems are you having?

          HI,

          I got IBM DS300 and 2 x 2 RAID 5 and 1 x RAID 1

          1. When connecting to a portal from the Microsoft Initiator GUI, you can see the iSCSI targets. However, when you try to log into a target, the connection fails

Target volumes size are 700GB and 600GB

          2. Add 1.0 TB on to windows 2000 server. i can see the disk and format etc etc but can not see from my computer or access?
