  • SQL using too much resources

    Hello

    I have a IBM eserver
    xeon processor 2.00 GHZ X 4 and 8gb of RAM

    My problem is SQL (enterprice) is using more resources on CPU
    but using only 2 GB ram

    6 GB of RAM is untouched

    please help me.....

    What options are loaded in the BOOT.INI?

    i.e. what does this line in your BOOT.INI say?:

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows Server 2003" /fastdetect
    You probably need the /PAE and/or the /3GB options.

      1st thank u for replying my post
      i have enabled PAE switch already
      also AWE value in SQL is set to 1

      now task manager shows 90 MB for SQL
      but performance counter shows 5 GB

      which one i can trust...?
