  • Server 2003 SP1 "not a valid Win 32 app"

I have set up an evaluation version of Server 2003 (part of preparing for my second crack at 70-291). I downloaded Service Pack 1 from this site but when I try to install it I get "WindowsServer2003-KB889101-SP1-x86-ENU.exe is not a valid Win 32 application"

I have tried Google and searching Petri and Microsoft but I can't find anything that seems relevant. The server is running under Virtual PC.

    Thanks in advance.

    Perhaps a corrupt download??

I've installed SP1 on Windows 2003 eval many times and it's always been fine.

    Try downlaoding it again

Ditto Michael. You could also try and extract the file from the SP and see if it errors. That would indicated the the SP was corrupt.
